My client is seeking a highly motivated Chief Finance Officer to oversee and manage all financial aspects of their Trust, ensuring sound financial decision-making and compliance with statutory regulations.
This role offers true flexibility, where the successful candidate will be required to visit Head Office and the Trust schools once a month.
Please note- the successful candidate must be based in the UK and have UK accounting experience.
About the Role:
As CFO, you will work closely with the CEO, Governors, and other key stakeholders to deliver strategic financial leadership. Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving financial planning, risk management, and sustainable growth.
- Budgets, forecasting, reporting, audit and finance oversight.
- Building and leading a high-performing finance team.
- Ensuring effective financial systems and compliance across the Trust.
- Supporting the development of strategic business and growth plans.
About You: You will have:
- A relevant professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Proven experience in financial leadership, managing large budgets, and driving organizational change.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A passion for delivering value and efficiency in the use of public funds.
- Ideally, but not essentially, education industry experience.
