Job Title: IT Project Technician
Salary: 40-45k per annum DOE
Location: Plymouth
Type: Permanent
Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 12:30pm Friday
(occasional out of hours will be required)
The Role:
Our large manufacturing client is seeking an experienced IT Project Technician with proven experience with Windows Server and MS Office along with a practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin centre and Azure Active Directory. The ideal candidate will have worked in a busy, fast-paced environment and be used to managing varied workloads and prioritising accordingly.
Key Duties:
- Lead and implement I.T projects whilst working closely with the business and other team members.
- Take end-to-end ownership of Service Records, making sure all relevant stakeholders are adequately informed of actions undertaken.
- Ensure the Service Knowledge Management System is always kept up to date.
- Manage complex and high priority Service Records to both internal and external teams in line with agreed processes.
- Provide a customer-centric interface for all users of IT systems and external parties where applicable.
- Keep abreast of any new technologies that may be implemented by the business to maintain expert knowledge to uphold ability to provide support.
- Manage and administer cloud services.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head of IT and other senior members of staff within I.T as required.
About You:
- Previous experience of working in a busy I.T department.
- Previous experience working in a customer facing role.
- Support knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin centre and Azure Active Directory.
- Knowledge of how to troubleshoot network issues.
- Demonstrable analytical approach to problem solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communicative skills.
- Full clean driving license.
Desirable Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft System Centre.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services.
- Degree level qualification or above.
- ITIL exposure and awareness.
