Network Planning and Optimization Engineer
The primary role for this position is to design, plan, and optimize our client’s 2,3,4,5G RAN network infrastructure, ensuring it performs at its peak and meets the evolving demands of the business.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to guarantee the network's reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Network Design: Work with the network architecture team to design and implement robust network solutions, aligning with business needs and industry standards. Develop network topology, selecting hardware and software components to meet performance and capacity requirements. Ensure network designs follow industry best practices and security standards.
- Capacity Planning: Analyze network traffic patterns and forecast future capacity requirements to ensure the network can efficiently accommodate growth. Recommend upgrades or expansions based on capacity planning assessments. Plan for scalability to accommodate future growth.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor network performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance performance while minimizing downtime. Identify and address network bottlenecks, latency issues, and congestion to optimize network performance. Implement changes and improvements to enhance network efficiency and reliability.
- Network Auditing: Conduct regular network audits to detect areas for improvement, security vulnerabilities, and compliance with best practices. Identify vulnerabilities, risks, and areas for improvement and take corrective actions.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues, including identifying and addressing network bottlenecks and failures in a timely manner. Respond to network incidents promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime and service disruption.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and policies. Ensure that network documentation is readily accessible to team members for troubleshooting and reference.
- Security Compliance: Implement security measures and policies to safeguard the network from potential threats and vulnerabilities. Stay informed about the latest security threats and best practices to ensure the network's security posture.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, system administrators, and IT staff, to ensure seamless network operation and alignment with organizational goals.
- Project Management: Lead or participate in network-related projects, such as network upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets and ensure successful project completion.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor network performance through network management tools and generate reports to evaluate network health and effectiveness. Provide regular status updates and reports to management and stakeholders.
