A well-known masterbatch/colourants and additives manufacturing company

This company provides products to the plastics converting industry and requires a quality control specialist to conduct and communicate quality-control tests and/or inspections of samples supplied from the plastic manufacturing plant through to the laboratory, ensuring that the finished product meets customer needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have a matric certificate, with maths.
- A diploma is preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience in a quality control position is preferred but not essential.
- The company is happy to train a sciences or related graduate into this role who has no work experience.
- Must have proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills.
- Previous experience in the plastic, polymer, masterbatch, or related markets is preferred but not essential.
- Previous research and development experience will prove advantageous.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Conducting and communicating quality-control tests and/or inspections of samples supplied from the manufacturing plant through to the laboratory.
- Ensuring that the finished goods supplied to the customers meet the company’s quality standards and the customer’s needs.
- Communicating effectively with a diverse range of people at different levels of seniority.
- Managing time and workload based on production planning requirements and/or urgencies.
- Carrying out procedural quality checks on the manufactured samples.
- Performing visual inspections of finished goods.
- Generating quality reports.
Package & Remuneration
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained. Monthly.
