About: The Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations. This includes managing production processes, ensuring product quality, supervising staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The manager will also ensure equipment maintenance, manage inventory control, and process improvements to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Oversee production processes, ensuring efficient and timely completion of orders while meeting quality standards. While monitoring waste and the reduction thereof.
- Supervise and manage production staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of corrugated products throughout production.
- Address and resolve any issues related to defects, inconsistencies, or non-conformities in the product
- Ensure equipment maintenance on a regular basis, reduce downtime, and collaborate with maintenance teams.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage paper cost efficiency and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Oversee raw material supply and inventory management, along with coordinating the timely supply of these.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on production performance, quality control, and other key metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and increase productivity.
- occasional extended hours based on production needs.
Salary: R35,000 - R40,000 (depending on experience)
