Global Bearing and Seals Manufacturing company has a vacancy for a self-motivated, decision making Quality and Environmental Health and Safety Manager. Your expertise will be utilized to drive the planning, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHS) and the supporting processes ensuring full alignment with requirements. You will ensure that regulatory requirements, when applicable, affecting quality and EHS are observed, advised and implemented. The position will be based full-time at Head-office on the East Rand, Gauteng.
Requirements:
- Business management Degree / Diploma.
- Quality Management – ISO 9001 certified Internal Auditor.
- Risk Management certificate.
- Legal Liability certificate.
- Minimum of 5-7 years management experience, preferably in the role as a Quality Manager, within an international organization.
- Work experience in Risk Management.
- IT – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Quality Management – ISO 9001 certified Lead Auditor (Desirable)
- Environmental Management - ISO 14001 certified Internal Auditor (Desirable).
- Health & Safety Management - ISO 45001 certified Internal Auditor (Desirable).
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 International standards (Desirable).
- 10 years active experience in the implementation, coordination and improvement of an organizations Quality Management and EHS
Management systems (Desirable). - Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Risk Management (Desirable).
- Bearings and Seals Product and services knowledge (Desirable).
- Intelex (Desirable).
Duties:
- Establish, Implement and Maintain the Quality and EHS Management System requirements and processes, and any customer-specific requirements.
- Effective implementation of the Group QMS (Qb) and EHS (Eb).
- Integration of Quality & EHS requirements into the business processes.
- Audits - Planning organizing and controlling of internal, Group, 3rd Party (certification & Surveillance) and customer audits.
- Report the performance of the QMS to the management for review.
- Achievement of Quality and EHS objectives.
- Adherence to defined compliance obligations.
- Effective management of Quality & EHS risks and opportunities.
- Continual improvement of the Quality & EHS Management System.
- Continual improvement activities in terms of supporting the Group Zero Defect (QMS) and Zero accidents (EHS strategy).
- Act as a role model and ambassador for the group.
- Conducts business as per the 'Code of Conduct.'
- Drive change, innovation and challenge the status quo.
- Demonstrate the Values of Collaboration, Courage, Curiosity and Care.
- Initiate action to ensure compliance with the Group, Quality & EHS Policies and systems.
- Drive and support improvement objectives in line with the business strategy of the organization.
