Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tender Assistant to join their civil engineering team based in Wellington. This role is crucial for supporting the preparation and submission of tender documents and ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and compilation of tender documents, including gathering necessary information and ensuring all requirements are met. Coordinate with various departments to obtain the necessary input for tenders. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of tendering procedures and ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines and standards. Review and analyze tender specifications and requirements to ensure a thorough understanding of the project scope. Track and monitor tender submission deadlines to ensure timely and accurate submissions. Maintain accurate records of all tender documents and correspondence. Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports related to tender submissions. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain quotations and other necessary information for tenders. Provide administrative support to the tendering team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes. Ensure all tender documents are formatted correctly and presented professionally
Requirements:
A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role within the civil engineering or construction industry. Must be fluent in Afrikaans and English. Strong knowledge of tendering procedures and guidelines. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CCS software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of local and international tendering standards and practices will be advantageous.
