REQUIREMENTS - Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive brand strategy aligned with business objectives
- Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, internally and externally
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies
- Knowledge of the luxury / liquor industry (sales, marketing, business development)
- Solutions-driven, collaborative attitude and the ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint proficient
- Ability to flourish in a high-pressure, deadline-based environment requiring the need to work after hours and often over weekends
DUTIES - Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to produce high-quality content and marketing materials.
- Ensure long term brand strategy for the regions most important market is developed, clear and aligned with multiple stakeholders
- Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation
- Work with Distributor team to establish next years brand plans and ensure quarterly plans are then executed to drive brand performance in the all important SA market
- Driving the correct project planning processes and following up with Business Managers to ensure timings are adhered to, reducing stress in the system
- Press Release and social media content calendar reviews and pre-approval before final sign off
- Provides local teams with the set of tools and executions to drive commercial and brand equity results
- Event and activation execution review ensuring brand cohesion and consistency and Activation excellence
- Collating, reviewing and analysing marketing results to drive a mind-set of continuous improvement from a fact-based basis (and supplying Best Practice excellence to the region
- Being clear on implications of annual brand health tracking and other marketing research results to ensure brand plans reflect critical insights and implications
- With Market Director, tracking competitive activity and performance in the market-place and evaluating long or short term course corrections required
- Taking a lead / pro-actively pushing and creating initiatives on some of the smaller brands for longer term performance
- Handling all platform queries: guidelines, artwork, issues, etc.
- Support on day-to-day marketing topics liaising with Distributor brand managers across the portfolio.
- Ensuring distributor presentations and reports meet company standards
- Development of market visit agendas and ensuring all logistical requirements are handled before and during the visit
