JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Electrician or Electrical Millwright with a Red Seal qualification for a Shift Manager position based in a Citrus Packhouse. The Shift Manager will be responsible for the effective management and coordination of day to day packing operations as well as the management of a maintenance team to ensure reliability and up-time for the entire packing operation.
The ideal candidate is an energetic and dependable problem solver with at least 5 years of experience in maintenance, fault finding, and repair in an industrial manufacturing plant. We are looking for someone who aspires to build a long- term career in the agriculture and food production sector of South Africa.
DUTIES
Manage the day-to-day operational value chain from pre-sorting and de-greening to staging for final sort and
Ensure effective management of operational shifts with a focus on the pre-sorting
Coordinate and manage a shift in the final sorting and packing facility from time to
Ensure effective management of the maintenance team to improve mechanical up-time and efficiency of all packing facilities.
Manage all electrical and general maintenance on a commercial Citrus Sorting and Packing facility including:
Packhouse electrical and electronic fault finding and
Electrical and mechanical maintenance including VSD’s and PLC’s.
General building/electrical/plumbing maintenance of office block and Packhouse
General mechanical maintenance of Packhouse
