Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Accountant to join their client's dynamic team in Cape Town. The client is a well-established plastic manufacturing company known for its innovative products and commitment to excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the financial operations of a leading organization in the manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Handle monthly and yearly financial closings and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and practices.
- Support audit processes and other financial reviews.
- Prepare and file statutory returns, such as VAT201 and EMP201.
- Verify supplier reconciliations and payments before final approval.
- Manage foreign exchange payments via the company bank account.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets or databases to track and compile financial data.
- Perform administrative duties associated with the position.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of financial policies.
- Assist in managing cash flow and financial planning.
- Meet all deadlines set by management.
Requirements
- Hold a professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA).
- Minimum of three years of experience in a Financial Accountant role.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, with expertise in features such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and XLOOKUPs.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software (Syspro experience is an advantage).
- Knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Friendly but assertive personality.
- Capable of managing tasks independently and juggling multiple responsibilities.
