Job Purpose: Applications are specifically invited for teaching in the field of natural and physical sciences education in the Intermediate Phase. Candidates with specific skills in the teaching of physical sciences and life sciences as part of Intermediate Phase Education on the Wellington Campus are encouraged to apply.
Note: The position is based at the Wellington Campus where tuition is in Afrikaans. Candidates must be able to teach in Afrikaans.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- A Master’s degree relevant to the teaching of Natural and Physical Science.
- A relevant teaching qualification in Natural and Physical Science Education.
- Natural and/or Physical Science as a major subject at undergraduate level.
- Two (2) years relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level or five (5) years relevant teaching experience at school level.
- Competence in the pedagogy of Natural- and Physical Sciences integration in learning, teaching, and assessment.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans (BEd tuition in Wellington is through Afrikaans).
