Job Description
Your responsibilities will be the following:
- Identifying opportunities on which to submit bids and feeding into the decision over whether to bid for the work.
- Devising a successful strategy for winning a bid.
- Manage and oversee the preparation, submission, and follow-up of bids and proposals.
- Collaborate with engineering, legal, finance, and project management teams to gather required input for the bid.
- Review requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs) & requests for information (RFIs).
- Ensure that all bids meet regulatory, legal, and technical compliance requirements, including safety, environmental, and industry standards (such as ISO, NEC, IEC, etc.).
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary compliance documentation, such as certifications, quality assurance documents, and environmental clearances.
- Assist with the transition from bid to project execution, ensuring that all compliance aspects are integrated into project delivery.
- Train internal bid teams on compliance requirements and best practices related to bidding.
Qualifications
Matric
Diploma / Degree in Business Management / Administration / Marketing or related field
Skills
- 5-8 years administering tenders in an Electrical Engineering or Construction Environment.
- 3-5 years supervising a team within a sales/bids environment.
- Experience in developing leads and researching potential clients.
- Experience in reading and analyzing requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for quotation (RFQs).
- APMP Membership (Association of Proposal Management Professionals).
- Driver's License and own vehicle.
