Job Responsibilities
- To maintain the plant and ensure that uptime is at a required standard
- Control Maintenance costs according to the budget
- Purchasing of Spares and Equipment
- Manage projects
- Liaison with suppliers
- Implementation of all Safety aspects within the Plant
- Investigate and make recommendations with regard to improved performance of plant and machinery
- Must be strong on decision making and problem solving, finding ways to improve efficiency of an operation
- Manage artisans with regards to performance, discipline, etc.
- Training and development of staff
- Stand in for the Plant Engineer in his absence when required
- Dealing with all Engineering aspects within the department, e.g. planned, preventative, breakdown maintenance and stock levels of spare parts.

Desired Experience & Qualifications
Educational & Training Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and/or trade tested Mechanical Fitter
- A certificate or diploma in supervisory management and/or a proven track record in a similar position
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 years in a similar position
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience
- Must be able to read CAD drawings
