Location: Hybrid - A blend of working from home and your nominated hub office, we have hubs in London, Bristol, Manchester and Oxford. Specific patterns for working in the office are not mandated, and the frequency of time worked in the office is agreed with your manager. Meeting in person is something we value so you may need to travel on occasion to any of our hub offices.

About the team:
The team is based in Data Collections and Statistics directorate of Jisc (old HESA) and provides a variety of live, web-based and bespoke training opportunities, helping HE professionals respond to the statutory data requirements of their provider.
Our training is designed to help HE providers and data customers to develop in-house expertise on all aspects of the HESA data journey. We deliver training on data collection and submission as well as onwards use of data.
About the role:
The role of the Trainer is to deliver and evaluate training programmes on HESA data collections and systems (and HESA related topics more broadly) in both formal and interactive settings, to audiences of varying sizes. You will ensure positive evaluations on all training provided as well as developing and delivering both live and web-based training programmes on behalf of HESA. The role will also involve preparing the learning environment and resources to ensure learners are supported.
You will have contacts both internally and externally, this will include working with liaison and data management internally, and externally a range of providers, statutory organisations and staff from higher education from all levels of seniority.
Responsibilities:
• You will communicate complex information clearly and concisely in writing and speech to a range of technical and non-technical audiences
• Providing customer support to ensure effective training service delivery and create and adapt the content of training packages according to the learner needs. This will include both physical and e-learning environments/packages.
• The opportunity to create course materials and other documents, such as handouts, manuals and exercises.
• You will keep abreast of training design and delivery methodologies and travel frequently within the UK.
Key Skills and Experience:
• You must have the confidence to create a strong presence in the training room/webinar and be able to convey professionalism and command respect.
• The capability to promote the services offered by the training team.
• To be an influencer and show assertiveness with people at all levels internally and externally.
• You will be a good communicator and communicate concisely in writing and speech
• Previous experience of training and delivery would be advantageous, along with the understanding of the training cycle.
• If you have experience of delivering presentations/training courses/e-learning modules would be a nice to have skill.
Qualifications:
Educated to higher education or relevant work experience
A basic DBS check will be carried on the successful candidate.
