Managing the vetting team within the wider Recruitment & Supply Division. This role will manage the performance and continuous improvement of our Vetting department. This business-critical role will ensure efficient processes and procedures are in place, whilst upholding stringent internal and external frameworks, to keep children, clients and the business safe. You will be able to shape the team, manage change and innovation. Key Stakeholders will include the Safeguarding Manager, Managing Director and Compliance Manager. Excellent communication will be essential. As part of the role you would be responsible for managing the performance and continual growth of the vetting team, setting individual and team targets to drive excellent customer service to the business as well as to registering educators. You will provide support and guidance to operations when dealing with safeguarding and child protection issues. Liaising regularly with the DSL with regards to live allegations and ensure these are recorded correctly. Helping to drive a culture where safeguarding and awareness of this is paramount and is what guides all vetting decisions. The role provides a great opportunity for an experienced vetting officer to take the next step in their career.

Work with the Head of Vetting to implement best practice, change, and ensure information is cascaded to the vetting teams.
Collaborate with Vetting Partners across the division.
Work with the Safeguarding Manager and Safeguarding team and ensure all information is shared in accordance with best practice and child protection guidelines.
Contribute to policy reviews and developments.
Strategically analyse work flows for efficiency and maximise performance.
Manage work levels of all department tasks and distribute these to the Vetting Advisors.
Setting, distributing, and monitoring targets within the department to match the performance and needs of the business.
To make appropriate interventions when performance does not meet expectations.
Find the best way to distribute department tasks and distribute to the team. Tasks to include but not limited to - provisional lists, visa check lists, priority candidates.
Process disclaimers and manage list.
Complete DBS re-checks. Carry out right to work checks when required.
Keep up to date with any new/changes in legislation
To ensure that all recruitment decisions made within the department uphold the guidance and quality frameworks in place and in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
Monitor and record department and team member stats.
Awareness of company focus and objectives and cascade down to team.
Provide coaching and 121 training sessions with vetting staff.
Assist the L&D department in TP Drive training sessions for new BM's.
Carry out Recruitment Workshops with operations to work on specific consultant pipelines.
Conduct training sessions with the vetting advisors.
Improve performance levels of the team monitoring KPIs and introducing improvements.
Complete reviews with team members, set individual targets and ensure these targets are met.
Carry out regular 121's with all staff.
Seek innovation and problem solve.
Champions change and encourages continuous improvement.
Support the team to implement changes on a practical basis.
