Job Opportunity: Diesel Mechanic (Male)
Full job description:
We are currently seeking a vibrant and energetic individual to join our team as a Diesel Truck/Trailer Mechanic.
Main purpose of this position:
- To maintain and perform routine maintenance on the company's HDV fleet as well as trailers.
- To order as required, correct spares or vehicle parts, receive, safely utilize, and complete inspections before releasing to relevant departments.
- Ensure the fleet meets Company and Legal Requirements through proper maintenance, including completion of all relevant documentation, which must be of the highest standards.
Interested candidates must have/meet the following minimum qualifications/traits:
- Certifiable Trade Test Certificate.
- Qualified in diesel Motors and mechanical engineering.
- Must have EXCELLENT knowledge of Trucks and Trailers and possibly in pneumatics.
- Must have good knowledge of Fleet Maintenance procedures.
- Must be familiar with working on different brands of trucks.
- Must be willing to attend breakdowns.
- Must have own tools.
- Must have sober habits.
- Must have at least 5 years minimum experience in a similar position.

- Decision making, communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to interact well with a diversified team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure.
