Job Description
To provide tax reporting, system and operational support in relation to various tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Understand the different financial products offered by FirstRand Group Ltd and the differing reporting requirements of each i.e. IT3B, IT3C, IT3S, EMP201, EMP501, DWT and WTI.
- Have a deep understanding of all SARS Business requirement specifications and be competent in testing and submitting data files to ensure successful SARS data submissions.
- Understand Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) business as well as what is required of their responsible area to ensure that effective business processes are in place to achieve compliant reporting and be proficient in testing and submitting FTI returns.
- Maintain knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provide SME advice to relevant stakeholders across the organisation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Be able to perform reconciliations of data files to source system.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of local and global tax reporting models and trends.
- Have a broad understanding of corporate actions and ensure correct system capturing for correct downstream IT3 tax reporting.
- Review data that feeds into the SARS reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance to legislative and audit requirements.

Minimum Requirements
- Have a BCom Finance Degree or similar equivalent.
- Have 3 – 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry in tax reporting and/or compliance.
- Assist Team Lead in legislative interpretation and business process improvement.
- Adhere to FirstRand framework of Governance and Tax Risk Policies.
- Assess own performance through seeking timely, and clear feedback and request training where appropriate.
