Purpose of Position:
To screen slides and prepare cytology specimens in the Cytology laboratory.
Requirements:
- HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field
- National Diploma: Biomedical Technology
Required Experience:
- Experience in pathology laboratory environment
- Knowledge: Meditech system
- Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath
- Perform general laboratory tasks to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratory
- Perform Quality Control procedures to ensure best practices are upheld
- Perform special cytology techniques to ensure timely resulting of special cytology specimens
- Prepare Cytology specimens to ensure efficient specimen screening
