As a Design Assistant, you will be an integral part of the design and production process. This role involves ensuring patterns, fittings, and design details meet the highest standards, supporting the team in delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities: - Patterns:
- Verify the accuracy of new and graded pattern pieces and communicate amendments to the pattern maker.
- Organize and catalog manual patterns.
- Create plastic and ironing positioning markers for production.
- Fitting Sessions:
- Take detailed notes during fittings to document alterations and comments.
- Embroidery and Markers:
- Create embroidery position markers for new styles and sizes.
- Count and label embroidery panels for production.
- Design Support:
- Update trims, fabrics, linings, and ratings in the system.
- Record measurements and maintain data for new styles.
- Create line drawings and fabric print designs using Adobe Illustrator.
- Prepare and manage sample packs and storyboards for new designs.

Requirements: - Matric certificate.
- Design Diploma or Degree.
