Location: Johannesburg North, Gauteng
Salary: R15 000 basic plus fuel allowance, cell allowance, and laptop plus commission

Our client, one of the leading brand specialists providing innovative and high-quality branding solutions for businesses of all sizes, is seeking a driven and ambitious business development executive to join their team.
As a business development executive, your primary role will be to drive sales by understanding market trends and client needs. You will offer our diverse range of products, such as branded promotional items, corporate gifts, and event solutions while delivering exceptional service. Your goal is to meet and exceed sales targets, build strong client relationships, and promote the company's core values of innovation, customer-centricity, and speed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle
- 3+ years experience in external sales
- Microsoft and CRM proficient
- Industry knowledge in printing or branding a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze the competitive landscape and stay updated on market trends in promotional and branding solutions.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying new clients in line with the company's customer segmentation strategy.
- Utilize CRM to maintain accurate and up-to-date client information.
- Prepare for client meetings by researching relevant company and customer insights to better understand client needs and tailor solutions.
- Set clear expectations regarding payment terms, artwork requirements, lead times, and project details for client meetings.
- Promote the company's offerings, highlighting its strengths in product quality, custom designs, and timely delivery.
- Provide accurate quotes to clients and manage the entire quote pipeline, ensuring all details are correctly handled.
- Follow up on pre-orders, negotiate deals, confirm payment terms, and coordinate the creation of product templates and artwork.
- Process and manage sales orders from start to finish, ensuring smooth communication between clients and internal sales traffic teams.
- Provide excellent after-sales service by maintaining regular contact with clients, assisting with event photography, managing call cycles, and handling any product repairs or rebranding requests.
- Identify new opportunities for upselling products and services, such as event setups, promotional campaigns, and branded solutions.
- Submit weekly call reports and follow up on quote statuses.
- Contribute to the monthly reporting process by submitting event photos and new customer contacts, and reviewing sales figures for accuracy.
- Keep detailed records of all sales activities to ensure transparency and effective data management.
- Collaborate with management and colleagues, escalating issues to the National Sales Manager, Marketing Executive, or General Manager when necessary.
