Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Adhering to company policies and procedures and comply to Health and Safety requirements.
- Mine design, scheduling and implementation.
- Driving and optimization of short-, medium- and long term mine production plans.
- Weekly tracking of mine development /production plans and reporting.
- Material and financial mine planning and budgeting.
- Report monthly on variations of actual vs business plans and provide solutions for realignment.
- 3D mine design and system integration.
- Effectively interface/integrate activities/delays to meet project deliverables.
- Prepare and update the long term and life of mine plans.
- Work with summarized daily reports from Survey and Geology for incorporation into long term plan.
- Identification and monitoring of critical constraints.
Minimum qualifications and requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
- Mine Engineering National Diploma/Degree (advantageous).
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in underground trackless mining, mine planning and scheduling.
- Experience in medium and long term scenario planning and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Skilled in using mining 3 D software Deswik, Datamine or Microstation advantageous.
- Mineral Resources Management (advantageous).
- A team player in multidisciplinary team environment.
- Be declared medically fit.
