Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join their team in the food production industry.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular cost reports for management.
- Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documentation, and records.
- Perform cost accumulation tasks and apply cost accounting techniques to capture all costs of production.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual costs and standard costs, identifying the reasons for variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Assist in the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into cost trends.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation.
- Monitor and report on key cost drivers, providing recommendations for cost control and reduction.
- Prepare financial statements and reports related to production costs.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting.

- Proficiency in cost accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Experience with budget preparation, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
Qualifications: - Degree or Diploma/B. Tech in Cost Accounting or Management Accounting is essential.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in cost accounting, preferably within the food production or manufacturing industry.
- Professional certification is an advantage but not required.
