We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Natural Resources team based close to our sites across the Thames Valley region, due to the nature of work we require a strong skillset and experience within Tier 1 Water and Civils frameworks.
Location: within commutable distance to our sites across the Thames Valley and Reading region - presence on site will be required but remote working may be available when possible
Contract: Permanent, full-time position – flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know
Responsibilities
As the Project Manager you'll work with a Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of scopes through all stages, from design to handover, on multiple integrated schemes, involving the installation and upgrading of treatment and distribution assets.
Your day to day will include:
- Implementation and monitoring of SHE policies and procedures in accordance with the Kier Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Engage with the direct and supply chain workforce on matters of Health, Safety and Well-being, leading by example on leading indicators to promote engagement.
- Selection of Civil, Mechanical & Electrical supply chain and package scope based on technical and commercial judgement, in consideration of client Frameworks and a willingness to challenge where a there is programme or commercial opportunity.
- Accountability for design integration of civil and M&E package plants and associated control and automation.
- Programme ownership and advice to the Project Planner, as well as accountability for commercial forecast on your schemes, ensuring robust control of actual costs. Participate in forecast reviews, final cost & value review with the commercial team
What are we looking for?
This role of Project Manager is great for you if you have:
- Proven lengthy industry experience – ideally including Water/Waste Water
- BEng/HND qualified Civil Engineer (or other relevant higher education)
- Proven people and project management skills with commercial awareness
- Knowledge of CEMAR
