Main job function
- Conduct on-site inspections of electrical systems and equipment damaged by insured events.
- Assess damage, take photos, and gather data for reporting purposes.
- Provide detailed reports, estimates, and recommendations for repairs or replacements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company protocols.
- Specialize in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in buildings and structures.
- Responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment to provide electricity for various purposes.
- Be able to issue CoC’s.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain all on-site electrical components, in compliance with provided specifications.
- Ensure optimal functioning of all electrical systems and equipment.
- Adhere to safety standards such as OSHA.
- Comply with all pertinent building codes and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other industry professionals.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new technologies, and changing regulations.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 and Trade Tested Electrician.
- 10 years of experience as an Electrician.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for on-site inspections).
Remuneration: R20000 – R30 000
