Job Summary
A challenging opportunity has arisen for a Head of Development to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development of large-scale solar power plants and electricity storage projects.
Estimated salary range: R1 200 000 - R2 000 000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
The Head of Development will be responsible for the following activities:
- Supervise project implementation from bid award to notice to proceed within the mandate validated in committees.
- Coordinate internal multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Manage project indicators such as timeline, development cost budget, and project economics.
- Monitor and assess project risks register and mitigation actions along the project development cycle.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 10 years of professional experience in similar positions in renewable energies.
- Knowledge of the electricity market and South African players.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate multi-cultural and delocalized teams.
- Synthetic and analytical mind, strength of conviction, perseverance, and strong autonomy.
