The ideal candidate is one who:
- has a track record of academic excellence and relevance teaching Mathematics;
- has a minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Grade 12 Mathematics, ideally in an IEB-aligned school, teaching according to the IEB SAG’s and principles;
- is S.A.C.E registered;
- is informed of the latest developments and best practice in teaching Mathematics;
- collaborates openly and keenly with colleagues, both within the department and across subject disciplines;
- has sound skills in accurate planning and administration;
- aligns with the school’s vision and mission;
- is self-motivated to constantly seek personal improvement and growth;
- is willing to contribute to the school’s extra-curricular, sports, wellness and/or cultural programmers
- has evidence of clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register; and
- is able to teach other subjects – an added advantage.
The successful candidate must be a dynamic, passionate Mathematics teacher, who will fully engage with young people so they flourish in both the classroom and in other aspects of their lives. This person should be proactive and keep abreast of innovation in education, with a genuine enthusiasm, commitment and passion for education in South Africa.
