Description
The role involves creating, pricing, and arranging trips to southern Africa for travelers through international agents.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate client requirements regarding interests, needs, and budget
- Provide timely quotes for all requested services
- Make reservations for all client services
- Respond to written inquiries and send written confirmations
- Input reservations into Tourplan
- Confirm services with suppliers
- Maintain regular communication with agents on reservation status, payment terms, deadlines, and reservation conditions
- Organize Meet and Greets when necessary
- Stay in touch with tour guides during tours
- Handle client complaints and emergencies
- Keep in contact with agents
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric / Grade 12
- Preferably a qualification in Travel & Tourism
- 4 years of experience in FIT-Tailor Making Tour consulting in the tour operating industry
- Familiarity with Tourplan is advantageous
Competency
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
- Understanding of customer needs and products
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers for availability and rates
- Strong knowledge of the tourism industry
- Excellent knowledge of South African geography
- Proficiency in Touring Logistics
