Job Title: Business Operations Manager

Salary: £61,110 + depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- You will design and manage the Digital Services business operations governance collaborating with stakeholders to operate a fit for purpose governance and meeting cadence to ensure effective monitoring, reporting and reviewing of projects on a regular basis
- You will design and deploy required process and tools required to collate and present data including Jira, Confluence, Excel, Power BI dashboards, or SharePoint repositories and workflows
- You will engage with stakeholders establishing strong relationships across the digital services, the programme management, and functional teams to understand interaction points and clearly communicate progress
- You will track and collate IM&T deliverables and manage Digital Services, Programme, and functional reporting including the development of status updates, presentations, or documentation as required
- You will work with the programme and function leads to understand the integration requirements to support alignment of reporting and planning
- You will integrate with the BAE Systems business management collating inputs to the wider Integrated Business Planning and resource management
- You will ensure alignment to the organisational and programme governance, collating compliance evidence
Your skills and experiences:
- Relevant vocational qualification e.g. HNC, APM or Prince 2, or relevant experience
- An experienced Project Management with experience of Programme Governance
- Experience within Financial Management would be desirable
- Risk management experience, and implementing mitigations or contingencies
- Experience with Resource Management would also be advantageous
- Experience managing Suppliers would be beneficial

The Digital Services Operations team:
The UK Combat Air Strategy, launched in 2018, set out a bold vision of future combat air capability for the UK, it is embodied by Tempest, an international future combat air system (FCAS) that will pioneer new technology, capable of staying ahead of evolving threats, enabled by decades of expertise in a world leading industry. To ensure that we can run an effective and efficient IT delivery organization, this role reports to the Digital Services Head of PMO and Operations. It is responsible for operation and governance across a team growing over 100 staff. It will be responsible for operating and assuring the traditional aspects of project management including the planning, forecasting and reporting and will also provide an opportunity to grow experience and expertise within a new development programme liaising with the international government agencies and partner industries.
