Our client is seeking a skilled and passionate Transformation Manager to join their Global Law Firm. This key role provides operational support to the Chief People Officer, Diversity & Inclusion Committee (DICE), Supervisory Board, and MCom to implement the firm's Inclusion & Diversity (I&D), benefits, and wellness initiatives.
You will play a vital role in advancing the firm's diversity agenda, including gender, racial inclusion, disability confidence, and LGBTQ+ initiatives, and take ownership of the onboarding and offboarding processes. This position requires a strong understanding of how L&D, benefits, wellness, and employee lifecycle processes impact engagement and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Inclusion & Diversity:
- Project work with the Chief People Officer to give effect to the I&D strategy of the firm.
- Support the Chief People Officer on projects within the global and regional I&D domain.
- Raise the profile of mental wellness (depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, and psychosis) within the firm with a view to destigmatising mental health through education and understanding.
- Responsible for periodic review of policies pertaining to I&D or that affect I&D.
DICE Committee:
- Prepare a draft of the Employment Equity Plan for review by DICE and once approved, prepare the EEA12 form.
- Provide substantive input to support DICE in achieving its mandate in terms of the DICE constitution and the Supervisory Board and Management Committee (MCom) strategic objectives.
- Provide secretarial support to DICE.
Employment Equity - Statutory Compliance:
- Responsible for coordinating the preparation of the Employment Equity Report (EEA2 & EEA4) to be approved by the Chief People Officer and signed off by the CEO.
BBBEE:
- Attend the BBBEE committee meetings as an HR representative.
- Responsible for ensuring that the employee data on the SAGE BEE 123 system is updated monthly by the HR administrator.
- Responsible for ensuring that the HR Administrator undertakes a quarterly audit of the data on the system to ensure that it is accurate and complete.
Wellness (EAP & Mental Wellness):
- Project work with the Chief People Officer and Supervisory Board sub-committee to give effect to the Wellness strategy of the firm.
Experience and Qualification Requirements:
- NQF 6 or 7 - business management / related B-BBEE Qualification.
- Minimum of 6 years working knowledge of B-BBEE Legislation and DTI codes, with a clear understanding of the codes of good practice relating to EE and B-BBEE codes (both old and amended), legislation and compliance requirements.
- Preferred knowledge and experience gained within the professional services and legal environments.
- Minimum of 5 years' work experience in a management position (Essential).
- Experience in HR, Organisational Development, and employment equity environment.
- Knowledge of industry sector codes.
- At least 6 years working experience concerning the following functions:
- Developing and implementing an EE plan.
- Developing and implementing a B-BBEE Strategy.
- Completion of submissions of annual EE Reports to Department of Labour.
- Preparing a company for B-BBEE Verification Audit.
- EE Compliance auditing.
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses.
