A private equity-backed investment company is seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to help build a dynamic team in Umhlanga, KZN .
With a central focus on operational finance, this role will be crucial in supporting the financial integrity and efficiency of a diversified portfolio, spanning real estate, hospitality, agriculture, and philanthropic initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact by leading core financial processes that underpin both commercial growth and community-focused projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the preparation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and ensure streamlined, compliant financial processes across all entities.
- Oversee the entire accounting function, actively managing day-to-day financial operations and implementing best practices in financial workflows to support efficient scaling.
- Supervise and authorise payroll, and help establish consistent payroll management practices.
- Collaborate with external accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage management accounts, including overseeing accounts payable and receivable, to ensure a solid financial foundation across all business areas.
- Support the leadership team with deal structuring and provide operational insights for new business ventures, including restaurant and retail acquisitions.
- Act as a critical operational and strategic partner to the Executive Director, managing essential financial responsibilities and contributing to the long-term financial vision.
- Assist in building and structuring the finance function, including the potential addition of team members for payroll and bookkeeping.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified CA (SA)
- 2-4 years of post-article experience in a commercial setting.
- Strong experience in financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll oversight.
- A dynamic and entrepreneurial attitude, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and contribute to both commercial and philanthropic objectives.
Salary:
R720 000 - R840 000 / year CTC
