We develop technological innovations, digital products and forward-looking artificial intelligent solutions exclusively for Mercedes-Benz. We are setting new standards in the field of car manufacturing as well as the digitalization of quality control.
You will be responsible for developing the backend of our quality inspection web application, deploying state-of-the-art AI models for various computer vision tasks, and driving innovation within the company through advanced artificial intelligence solutions. Additionally, you will integrate these AI capabilities into existing systems and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
This role requires a strong understanding of backend development fundamentals and principles, along with experience in programming languages and frameworks such as Python and PyTorch.
As an intern in the field of full stack development, you can expect the following exciting tasks:
- Development of local and cloud-based backends for web-applications
- Develop and maintain server-side logic using programming languages like Python
- Design and manage APIs for seamless communication between the frontend and backend
- Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of the applications through cloud platforms such as Azure
- Leverage the latest advancements on reducing model size and complexity to run large deep learning models in constrained hardware while meeting real-time requirements
- Monitor, debug, and resolve application performance and reliability issues
- Degree in computer science, software development, or other relevant fields
- Proficient in Python programming language and Jupyter Notebook (C# is an advantage)
- Experience or knowledge in full stack development to contribute to UX/UI design solutions
- Familiarity with Docker for development and deployment in local and cloud environments
- Hands-on mentality to prototype hardware demonstrators for proof-of-concept models
