Platinum Recruitment is delighted to be working with a prestigious care home, to recruit a talented Sous Chef for their stunning care home in Basingstoke.
As Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and cooking a variety of delicious and nutritious meals tailored to residents' preferences and dietary requirements.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Supervising and mentoring the kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Managing stock control and ordering supplies to minimise waste and optimise costs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a care home or similar setting.
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious food.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible approach to work and the ability to work well under pressure.
- A food hygiene certificate (Level 2)
- Be able to commute to Basingstoke daily for work
- To complete an Enhanced DBS check for the role as a Sous Chef
