Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNW's mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.
This position is based in Wythenshawe.
We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support the NBTC team for CTPNW. The National Border Targeting Centre (NBTC) supports CT Policing and other Law Enforcement Agencies to manage travel through the UK Borders.
The successful candidate will represent the NBTC CT Police RDAT Team within the Home Office, Security Intelligence Agencies, CT network, and wider UK territorial policing.
This will include working alongside the head of operations to deliver core business, engaging with partners to manage the proposals for Rules Based Targeting and P1/P2 engagement.
Core Management Responsibilities:
- Advise, create, and manage targeting operations within the NBTC.
- Interrogate information available to the NBTC including policing and multi-agency databases.
- Supervise staff within the NBTC.
- Promote UK role in international RDAT development in conjunction with BTAC.
- Support and manage staff engaged in the search and retrieval of data, producing research summaries and performance data where necessary.
- Comply with Data Governance.
- Deliver presentations to CTBPS colleagues & partners.

This role carries a requirement for DV Vetting.
This is a Middle Leader position, and the successful candidate will be able to work with a minimum of supervision, to tight timescales and be able to evidence this against the Leadership Expectations.
This role requires you to liaise with police forces and partner agencies including the Security Services providing bespoke advice to ensure their aims are achieved. You will take the lead on the development and dissemination of intelligence, in support of national security and criminal investigations.
You will support both the local and national tasking processes, to actively support and promote the role of National Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters.
You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business purposes.
