The Solutions Architect is responsible to implement systems architecture to help solve the organization’s network problems. Solution Architect responsibilities include testing and integrating program software systems to address and solve specific business problems within an organization.
Primary Objectives:
- Building and integrating information systems to meet the company’s needs.
- Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
- Resolving technical problems as they arise.
- Providing supervision and guidance to development teams.
- Continually researching current, emerging technologies, and proposing changes where needed.
- Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
- Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.
- Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
Analyse, design & implement business solutions:
- Produce test plans that prove project feasibility and keep them updated.
- Develop proofs of concept that validate the solution.
- Identify project risks and present alternatives to solve the issue.
- Document client-user stories and technical constraints/requirements.
- Produce detailed component specifications.
Education/Qualification
- A bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.
- Knowledgeable about all phases of the software development life cycle and solution delivery for web, client-server, and cloud-based systems.
- Subject matter expertise in the field of work.
- Good knowledge of modern software engineering principles and best practices.
- Proven track record of work experience as an architect, project manager, or developer.
- Certificates to demonstrate knowledge and competency.
- Excellent project and resource management skill.
- In-depth analysis skills.
- Risk identification and management skills.
- Technical background and experience in development.
- Ability to consult management and engineering teams, with technical advice regarding business analysis, project management, IT architecture, infrastructure, cloud development, and software architecture design.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to see the connections between layers of business operations.
- Ability to understand how different parts of business operations are connected and how business processes achieve their goals.
- Ability to define the beneficial solutions and the ones which are inefficient for a particular business need.
Experience (experience required for the job)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software engineering/ IT infrastructure and cloud development.
- Experience in various software designs, languages, and architecture.
- Experience and knowledge of cloud computing
