The position of Class 1 Tramper involves:
Collecting and delivering customers products on a curtain sided trailer, this will include a great deal of load security using ratchet straps.
Carrying different loads that may include alcohol.
Delivering loads throughout the UK both full and groupage loads.
Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
This will include nights away.
Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 1 Tramper:
Must have a UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence.
Hold a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
Experience of fridge trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
Working to deadlines.
Confident, polite and a team player.
Good geographical knowledge.
Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

Salary for Class 1 Tramper can be higher rate depending on hours worked, below is based on 48-55hpw. Tax free night out allowance is on top of your salary.

Sunday to Thursday - £38,272pa - £43,643pa and more!
Monday to Friday - £36,842pa - £42,213pa and more!
Tuesday to Saturday - £38,272pa - £43,643pa and more!
Wednesday to Sunday - £39,702pa - £45,073pa and more!
Thursday to Monday - £39,702pa - £45,073pa and more!
Friday to Tuesday - £39,702pa - £45,073pa and more!
Saturday to Wednesday - £39,702pa - £45,073pa and more!
If you work an additional shift - paid hourly and enhanced hourly rate for weekends.
