Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer to join our clients team. This position involves designing, managing, and overseeing the implementation of electrical and instrumentation systems for diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess project scope and requirements to define the works scope.
- Prepare and evaluate fee proposals for various projects.
- Develop engineering designs, specifications, and calculations for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Create accurate schedules for materials and labor requirements.
- Prepare tender documents and participate in tender adjudication processes.
- Manage the creation and maintenance of contract documentation.
- Oversee project management activities, including cost control and scheduling.
- Supervise testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Travel to project sites as required to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) in Electrical Engineering is essential.
Skills
- Over 10 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation design, with expertise in wastewater treatment, petrochemical, and food industries.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for design and drafting.
- Advanced knowledge and experience of MV Reticulation, Harmonic Analysis, and control systems like PLC & SCADA.
- Strong project management skills, including cost control and scheduling.
- Experience in solar/PV systems and hazardous area design is essential.
