Our client in Stellenboch is currently recruiting for an IT officer who will oversee all aspects of the company's IT systems and processes.
Overview:
- The I.T. Officer will be in charge of managing the hardware, software, and network infrastructure, ensuring the optimization of all systems to improve operational efficiency, and providing technical leadership to ensure that IT supports the strategic objectives of the organization.
- The role also encompasses IT security, disaster recovery planning, and the implementation of new technologies to enhance business performance.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (hardware, software, networks, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of information security practices and disaster recovery planning.
- Proficiency with cloud computing solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications:
- Education: Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
- Proven track record in managing IT infrastructure and services.
- Experience with system optimization and network administration.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships.
- Experience in developing IT policies and procedures.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include ITIL, PMP, MCSE, CCNA, or equivalent.
