Part-Qualified or Recently Qualified Accountant for innovative low carbon insulation business
Sisaltech is a growing Edinburgh based company in the sustainable insulation sector. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to help manage our Finances and support our growth. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a rapidly growing company, both in terms of sales volumes and the team. This role will give you an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the company finances and be a valued team member.
We are looking for someone with a management accounting background and ideally with manufacturing experience. Experience of product accounting, process accounting and cashflow forecasting are all preferred.
You will be supported by experienced accountants.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Monitor cash flow and complete cashflow forecasting to support efficient working capital management.
Undertake product costing in relation to multiple product lines.
Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Understand product mix and product accounting to ensure margins are maximised.
Stock control and WIP accounting processes.
Financial Reporting
Prepare and present monthly management accounts to support decision-making.
Prepare quarterly Board papers.
Prepare an annual budget and financial models to support projects as required.
Audit and Compliance
Support the annual accounts process - the accounts are prepared by an external tax accountant.
Prepare quarterly VAT return and other HMRC corporation tax filings as required.
Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place across the business.
Collaboration and Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, enhancing efficiency.
Work with Marketing and Sales staff to track KPI's and support sales Career development opportunities, including support for further professional qualifications.
Essential:
Experience in a management accounting role.
Experience of financial systems (e.g. Xero) and strong Excel skills.
Part-qualified or recently qualified (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Desirable:
The confidence to propose new and improved processes
Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or sustainability-focused business.
