A skilled Service & Advanced Repairs Engineer is needed to support a nationwide service department specializing in the installation, servicing, and repair of pumps and pressurised systems across both domestic and commercial contracts throughout Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds. This hands-on role demands technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive customer-focused approach. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 service coverage.
Key Responsibilities for the Service & Advanced Repairs Engineer job
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards, conducting Risk Assessments and following Method Statements
- Use mobile technology to maintain accurate customer, asset, and contract records
- Conduct site surveys and relay relevant information to the office team
- Identify opportunities to promote the company's services
- Perform thorough servicing and commissioning of pumps and pressurised systems
- Diagnose and repair complex issues within pumps and pressurised systems
- Assist with on-site installation of pumps and pressurised systems as required
- Complete and submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction and respond to needs
- Provide accurate data and feedback to relevant departments or managers
- Offer training and support to colleagues when needed
Required Skills and Experience for the Service & Advanced Repairs Engineer job
- Demonstrated experience in servicing, commissioning, and repairing pumps and pressurised systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills for advanced fault finding and minor repairs
- A full, valid UK Driving Licence
- High attention to detail with an organised, self-motivated approach
- A customer-focused attitude with excellent communication skills
- Reliable time management and flexibility to adapt as required
