Diesel Mechanic, Sabi Sands Reserve
Requirements:
- Must have a Grade 12 (Matric).
- Must be a Qualified Section 13 Diesel Mechanic with RED SEAL certification.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have 5 years of experience working as a qualified Diesel Mechanic.
- Must be well-spoken in English.
- Knowledge of Air conditioners and the electrical component will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of petrol engines will be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing any defective parts.
- Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work.
- Diagnosing malfunctions or problems or testing equipment to determine the root cause of any issues.
- Repairing and verifying any emission control systems.
- Meeting with designated vehicle drivers/managers to explain problems and possible solutions.
- Carrying out any repairs as needed to replace the transmission or other damaged parts.
- Understanding the inner workings of various machines such as TLBs, graders, generators, tractors, and farming equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on vehicles and generators.
