Overview
Hire Resolve’s client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join their company in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the international logistics industry, with a focus on the fast-moving consumer goods sector.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development
- Acquire new business with a focus on Medium, Large, Multinational, and Global accounts
- Manage and report on the client’s profitability, revenue, and YOY numbers
- Primary role is to prospect, develop, and manage new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and identifying potential new business
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless delivery of services and customer satisfaction
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify market opportunities and threats
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote our services
- Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and proposals to prospective clients
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, International Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years Sales Experience, preferably in the 3/4 PL and/or Freight Forwarding Industry
- Proven track record in Freight Forwarding, Clearing, Contract Logistics and/or 3/4 PL
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
