Our client requires a passionate Pastry Chef to join their bakery team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Daily running and overseeing of all pastry preparations.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to create innovative desserts, pastries and confectionery items.
- Continuously explore new techniques, flavours and trends in pastry-making to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Staff management.
- Inventory and stock management.
Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following:
- Degree or diploma in culinary arts.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar position.
- Minimum 1 years' experience in a senior role.
- An extensive repertoire of pastry and confectionery techniques and trends.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to function as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines.
- Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays.
- Own transport.
