Introduction
To support growth of equity and equity derivatives markets through listing equity derivative contracts, product and market development, client relationship management and business origination.
Responsibilities
Deliver Business Results
- Identifying latest trends to generate additional revenue for the JSE and build new and existing client relationships that promote trading of both existing and new products.
- Continuously monitor the markets to provide professional guidance and opinions regarding listed products identified as potential business for traders.
Self-Management
- Manage own delivery against department and business delivery plan and set timelines, identify obstacles and take appropriate action where required.
Talent Management
- Upskill team in core professional knowledge and expertise in Cash Equities and ETPs.
- Attract, grow, and retain high calibre talent.
Effective Colocation Policies and Process Management
- Engage with JSE teams to ensure that listing of Derivatives Contracts is in compliance with JSE standards, regulations, and policies.
- Enhance existing product offering by conducting thorough research, engaging with market participants to identify product requirements, and consultation with software providers.
- Resolve and escalate complex queries timeously to ensure customer satisfaction and enhance the JSE brand reputation.
Continually innovate and develop new products to grow and sustain existing business and attract new business.
Minimum Requirements
- BSc Degree.
- Degree in Financial Markets, Finance or Investment Management.
- 3 - 5 years direct experience in Cash Equities and Equity Derivatives products.
- Client service or trading support experience and interaction with Sell-Side clients.
- Exposure to the Buy-Side (Asset Management) is an added advantage.
Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of Financial Markets operations (Front; Middle and Back Office).
- Trading support services, business analysis, and requirements gathering.
- Listed Cash Equities; ETFs; ETNs and/or Equity Derivatives.
- Client relationship and client service management.
