PAPER MACHINE INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN
We are looking for an experienced Paper Machine Installation Technician to join our clients team in North Wales
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily installation operations, follow project plans, and organize necessary manpower, equipment, and resources.
- Ensure installation activities align with project specifications, technical standards, and quality requirements.
- Manage subcontractor teams, providing direction to ensure smooth progress in installation processes.
- Maintain site organization and optimize workflow efficiency throughout the installation process.
- To guide regular quality inspections with Quality teams to ensure that installation work meets high-quality standards.
- Identify quality issues on-site, provide feedback to relevant teams, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide technical expertise to resolve installation-related issues quickly and effectively.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop solutions for on-site challenges.
- Plan and track corrective actions in case of project deviations or errors.
- Provide regular updates to engineers and managers, detailing project advancements, encountered issues, and resolution processes.
- Guide Quality teams for document completion of installation activities through inspection reports and testing records for project handover preparation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure steady workflow and project alignment.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the installation of paper machines or similar heavy industrial equipment. Experience with Valmet paper machines is highly preferred.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme).
- NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferable.

- Valid equivalent CSCS Card.
This is a contract role for around 18 months
