Hoseki Restaurant is looking for a Restaurant Manager whom will be responsible for the efficient operation and profitably of Hoseki Restaurant as well as In-Room Dining and the Pool Terrace at the Lodges & Spa. The Restaurant Manager will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager + Head Chef to provide the ultimate guest experience.
Main responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily operations of full portfolio
- Deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction
- Engage efficiently and accurately to guests needs and complaints
- Work alongside Sommelier compiling the wine & beverage list and recommending wine to guests. Ensure wine lists in rooms are updated.
- Staff recruitment & effective management (including rosters + overtime).
- Responsible for stock purchasing, managing stock budget, and flow and working according to the budget
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
Main requirements:
- Grade 12, preferably a tertiary qualification in Food Services Management/Hospitality
- 2-3 years previous Restaurant Manager experience in 5* or luxury establishments
- Wine certification course or similar experience alignment
- Previous Gourmet Guide and Eat Out aligned fine dining experience preferential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
- Excellent food and wine knowledge
- Excellent ability to pay attention to detail
