Job Description
The ideal candidate has experience to manage commercial risks of a physical supply chain business, including commodity price risk management and trading, commercial supply chain management. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a big impact to our Trading team by driving revenue and developing key markets in South and East Africa markets.
- Responsible for the physical trading of Edible Oils (Palm Oil / Soybean Oil / Sunflower Oil) products across South and East Africa markets
- Targeting and developing new markets for potential business and expanding network of suppliers and customers
- Keep up to date with market intelligence, price changes and supply and demand models through monitoring trends and market conditions to help identify new business opportunities
- Working closely with supporting teams in operations and shipping to ensure excellent supply chain management and delivery of products
- Build new and maintain existing relationships with suppliers and customers in relevant markets
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in physical trading of relevant softs/ags/biofuels products across markets
- Proven track record of consistently delivering positive P&L.
- Strong knowledge of softs/ags markets and insights in the supply and demand dynamics
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
