About the Role
The QC Laboratory Technician will play a key role in ensuring the quality and consistency of the company's products. This hands-on role involves conducting quality control tests, analysing results, and collaborating with production teams to maintain the highest standards of product integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and generate detailed quality reports.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods as needed.
- Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the laboratory.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QC department.
Key Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a QC or laboratory-based role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing methods.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in recording and interpreting test data.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively across departments.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards in a laboratory setting.
Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
- Relevant certifications or training in quality control or laboratory operations are a plus.
