The Company:
ER Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client on an exclusive basis to recruit for this brand new, exciting role based at their Leicester sites.
The role is fresh to the business and the team need a supportive and encouraging manager who will let them work independently but be a good sounding board. The successful candidate will have a construction background and have solid experience within management accounts.
Role & Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:
- Support the wider proficient finance team in any queries, ensuring the finance function as a whole achieves deadlines, and pitching in to cover peak periods or absences.
- Overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis.
- Month and year-end routines in conjunction with the wider team.
- Perform various reconciliations and analysis as required.
- Manage working capital and produce forecasts as and when required.
- Carry out various costing exercises as required by the Company and drill down into relevant financial data as required.
- Work closely as a first point of contact to the Finance Director providing them with business information.
- While this role will report into the Finance Director it will be expected that some of the Finance Director s administration tasks will be assisted with as well.
About You as the Financial Controller:
- A background working in the construction industry, ideally with manufacturing experience.
- CIMA qualified.
- Have previously managed a small team in a support capacity.
- Be a hands-on leader, mucking in with the team when needed, potential to grow further with the company.
- Ability to handle pressure and work to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when producing work.
- Discretion, trustworthiness and confidence.
