Our client is a market leading manufacturing company. They now have a new role for a Sustainability and Compliance Manager.
The Role
- Develop and implement sustainability strategy.
- Ensure business remains compliant with all regulatory requirements.
- Influence culture to ensure sustainability is a core topic within the business.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to maintain compliance and stay ahead of legislation.
- Drive company activity to maximise re-use opportunity.
- Ensure the accuracy of data collection for internal and external reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare key sustainability information for internal and external communication.
- Monitor industry best practice, share and implement new initiatives.
- Represent business at relevant industry working groups and events.
- Develop knowledge of appropriate legislation and regulations.
- Develop Life Cycle Assessments.
- Manage sustainability and compliance team (Sustainable Process Manager, Environmental Coordinator, Management System Coordinator).
- Manage waste streams and external contractors.
- Maintain and develop management system.
- Prepare gap analysis and implement countermeasures.
- Identify and drive net zero strategy.
The Person
- You will ideally be degree qualified.
- Have experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability frameworks and best practices.
- Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse data and prepare reports for various audiences.
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Will have sustainability and compliance management experience and knowledge.
