Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (advantageous).
- Registered Tax Practitioner preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in taxation.
- International tax experience would be beneficial (Know how to search for International law aka double taxation).
- Knowledge of Tax Administration Act.
- Review juniors' tax work.
- Computer literate (advanced).
Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance:
- Oversee timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (income, sales, property, payroll, etc.).
- Oversee and manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Maintain compliance with international tax laws and regulations where applicable.
General:
- Identify and mitigate tax risks.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting of tax matters.
Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor tax team members of 3 employees.
- Train any new employees.
Regulatory and Legislative Monitoring:
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Know how to search for international tax law (Double taxation).
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure cohesive tax planning and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of tax-related sections of financial reports.
